If you’re like me, you didn’t get to go to Book Expo America (BEA) this past week and have therefore been moping for seven days straight, Twitter has been the bane of your existence, and you want to cry every time you see a picture of your friends’ giant stack of free books. Sure, writing friends, I’m so happy that you are ALL hanging out with me…really. Okay, I kid, I kid. Actually I’m interested in all things BEA and since I didn’t get to go, I figured I would roundup some great posts on what went on in NYC this past week. Enjoy!
Dork in New York – Janet Gurtler’s trip to BEA
BEA Wrap Up – Gretchen McNeil’s video blog for the YA Rebels – 7 Rebels in one spot, check it out!
KidLit BEA 2011 – Agent Mary Kole’s BEA experience
The comics day at BEA: Day 1–Habibi and Wimpy Kid Rule – From The Beat
BEA Day 1 - Agent Janet Reid of Fine Print
#BEA Recap – The Reading Zone
Galleys to Grab – It’s too late to snag any ARCs at the Javits Center, but if you want to check out the Kirkus List of the most sought-after galleys, you too can be on the look out for these. (I’m dying to read Misfit!)
YA Buzz Panel Rocks Javits – Publishers Weekly
BEA Recap Part 1 – Shana Silver, a run down of ARCs and parties and general authorly bonding!
If you’ve written a great BEA recap, let me know and I’ll post a link. Thanks!
Thanks for the links! From the Kirkus list I want to read Legend and Liesl and Po the most.
I would really like to attend BEA sometime. It looks like a blast.
I am doing my round up post tomorrow!
Hey, I wanted to let you know I just saw Misfit is on NetGalley. It looks good!
